K-pop Dictionary › Line (97 line, 00 line)
Idols grouped by the year they were born.
A line is a group of idols born in the same year. "97 line" means idols born in 1997; "00 line" means idols born in 2000.
In Korea, people born in the same year speak to each other as friends, so idols from the same line are often close across different groups.
“Jungkook, Mingyu and Jihyo are all 97 liners.”
